 | Dr Alex Bornsztejn – Principal DentistBachelor Health Science in Dentistry, Masters in Dentistry – [BHSc(Dent), MDent]Since early childhood, Alex always wanted to be a Dentist. Alex grew up in Victoria, where he successfully achieved his dental degree from Latrobe University. Alex completed his Masters degree in rural Victoria, before relocating to Queensland. Alex has worked all over Queensland, from Brisbane to Townsville, and is now proud to call Cairns home. Alex is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry. He places a high importance on continued education, and regularly attends courses run by leaders in the dental field. His genuine obsession with dentistry has taken him all over the world to learn the very best and latest technology and techniques in regards to dental implants and wisdom teeth surgery, which Alex is excited to share with his patients. Outside of dentistry, Alex loves spending time on the water fishing and with friends. |
 | Dr Aidan Curro – DentistBachelor of Dental Surgery – [BDS]Originally from Ingham, Aidan is proud to have completed his studies locally at James Cook University in Cairns. Aidan strives to become your family dentist for life. He loves to treat families and use early education to set up strong foundations for life long relationships with his patients. Aidan prides himself on being extremely gentle and calming and enjoys helping anxious patients overcome any fears of visiting the dentist with his friendly nature making you feel at ease. Aidan is an extremely proficient and talented dentist, he has an incredible passion for dentistry which is illustrated by his depth of knowledge and his precise and genuinely impressive technical skills. Growing up in Far North Queensland, he is an avid fisherman and outside of work you will find him on his boat out at the Reef or spending time around the local cafés with his wife. |
 | Dr Ebony Smith – Dentist Bachelor of Dental Surgery – [BDS] Ebony is proud to be a FNQ local, completing her studies at JCU in Cairns. Outside of work you will find her exploring the outdoors and spending time with her partner and pets. |
 | Dr Chrystal Scholl – DentistBachelor of Dental Surgery – [BDS]Chrystal is from beautiful British Columbia, Canada. After completing an honours degree in Microbiology back home, she then moved to Australia to complete her dental degree here at JCU Cairns. Chrystal has been passionate about dentistry from a young age. She became very inspired to help others gain a beautiful, healthy smile after experiencing her own transformation following orthodontic treatment. She always aims for a stress-free, positive dental experience with her patients and has a very special way of making anxious patients feel at ease. |
 | Maddy – Practice ManagerCertificate III in Dental AssistingMaddy is our highly valued practice manager at South Cairns Dental, and has been giving her all since the practice was first established. Maddy has been working in the dental industry for many years now, where her roles have varied from chair side assisting, to reception duties, to managerial responsibilities. Maddy has successfully completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. Maddy takes pride in ensuring all our patients receive the best possible experience at their visit, striving to ensure our patient’s expectations are consistently surpassed When she is not working hard, Maddy enjoys an active lifestyle, playing netball and spending time with family and friends and her two beloved dogs. |
 | Neisha – Dental AssistantNeisha was born and raised in Greece, however has now lived in FNQ for 10 years and is happy to call Cairns her permanent home. Since she was young, Neisha has always loved going to the dentist, being obsessed with looking after her smile. Neisha is now excited and proud to be working in dentistry, her chosen career, where she loves helping others achieve the same satisfaction with their own smiles and oral health. |

She is currently studying her certificate in Dental Assisting. In her own time she is a dancer – jazz, tap, hip hop – you name it! She also loves going to the local beaches to wind down on the weekends. |
 | Jess – Dental AssistantCertificate III in Dental AssistingJess chose to pursue a career in dentistry as she has a passion for helping others and enjoys seeing the transformation and embracement of self confidence dental treatment can yield for our patients. Originally from Cairns, Jess loves the tropical NQ lifestyle the area has to offer, and outside of work values time spent with family and friends. Jess applies a high level of enthusiasm to her work, and enjoys sharing close working relationships with all our patients. |
